"My Dream, My Future"

A dream is a wish that your hear t makes. But hey! Are you going to wish forever? Are you just going to hope that your life will come into something after throwing and wasting all your coins into the well? So, better wake up. It 'is nice to dream, but . . . . . . . . .

I know everyone wants to succeed and be comfortable with their lives after starving and sacrificing for many years in studying. I’m one of them. I’m dreaming to become somebody in the near future. Nowadays, dreaming of becoming an astronaut and inventor of something is an abyss. Most of students now have great minds in deciding and dreaming. They would prefer to be a lawyer, a doctor, a policeman, a teacher or an accountant. Well, I want to be an accountant, a certified public accountant.

With this, I will do my best in my studies, try to be patient in some points of learning and I will keep my faith strong to God for I know He will guide me whatever I do and will never leave me wherever I go.

So, I should plan for my works now and take a move for it. This is what it takes. This is for my future- to achieve all my goals in life. I should not just dream for it because dreams are only for rookies, achievements are for the tough ones.

Yes, I can. .

It all started with the unconditional love of my parents. Afterwards, they taught me how to live into this world full of uncertainties. With the ups and downs of life, I become stronger. However, I’m just living with a simple at this moment of my life. Nowadays, I’ve realized that being simple is not enough.

Being simple would not always mean you’re contented with little things. It’s just that they are happy of what they have. But me, I have changed my mind. It’s not enough to be always simple. I should spread more my wings so I can fly higher. With it, I can travel to more and exciting places that will help me to succeed. Well, I guess, it’s not easy to make a change. I will always remember that in everything I do, I should take one step at a time because if not I may fail.

As Ms. Ruth Tacneng said in her speech during the Pinning of Ranks 2011 here in Ilocos Sur National High School, the road may be long but we should be patient. I am inspired with her words. I hope that the things she have shared to us will help each and every of us dream higher.

I believe that with the change that started within me, I can achieve all my goals in life. As they say, achievements are only for the tough ones.

Not for me. . .

As we all know, Vigan City, Philippines which is located in Ilocos Sur Province, is a famous conurbation for it is the only heritage city in the world and for its old massive stone walls and Spanish brick houses which date back to the Spanish colonization period.

Vigan, all set for the week-long 2nd Kannawidan Ylocos Annual Festival from January 28 to February 3 right after the Longganisa Festival.

Honestly, I’m not aware with this celebration. I’ve just heard this to other people and ignore it for somehow I know, I’m not involved here. That thing may be true. But the problem is within me. I do not let myself be a part of the celebration like joining such contest. I don’t even care sometimes if there are a lot of things to do with it.

Some people may get insulted upon reading this but I’m just telling the truth. I am sure that this Kannawidan Festival would mark again another significant event for the life of others but sorry to say, not for me.

Last Tuesday. . .

Vigan is indeed a well-known city in the entire Philippines and eventually to the whole world. With this, the City of Vigan celebrated its Fiesta last January 16- 31. Many festivities were done during it and on the 25th day of January was the Grand Parade.

As the sun rises at the east, I stand up and face the new day that was given by God. I woke up early in the morning for I was very excited for our Grand Parade of Vigan City.We waited for more or less than an hour before it started. Many of us get tired in standing even if it did not start yet. Well, we just ignored it and let our day be filled with new memories. Students of different schools, workers of many agencies and government officials of the City of Vigan joined the said event.

We again made a zenith for ourselves. With that, we have also gained another experience in the journey of our lives. All I can say is that I enjoyed this last Tuesday of the month of January.
