Not for me. . .

As we all know, Vigan City, Philippines which is located in Ilocos Sur Province, is a famous conurbation for it is the only heritage city in the world and for its old massive stone walls and Spanish brick houses which date back to the Spanish colonization period.

Vigan, all set for the week-long 2nd Kannawidan Ylocos Annual Festival from January 28 to February 3 right after the Longganisa Festival.

Honestly, I’m not aware with this celebration. I’ve just heard this to other people and ignore it for somehow I know, I’m not involved here. That thing may be true. But the problem is within me. I do not let myself be a part of the celebration like joining such contest. I don’t even care sometimes if there are a lot of things to do with it.

Some people may get insulted upon reading this but I’m just telling the truth. I am sure that this Kannawidan Festival would mark again another significant event for the life of others but sorry to say, not for me.

Last Tuesday. . .

Vigan is indeed a well-known city in the entire Philippines and eventually to the whole world. With this, the City of Vigan celebrated its Fiesta last January 16- 31. Many festivities were done during it and on the 25th day of January was the Grand Parade.

As the sun rises at the east, I stand up and face the new day that was given by God. I woke up early in the morning for I was very excited for our Grand Parade of Vigan City.We waited for more or less than an hour before it started. Many of us get tired in standing even if it did not start yet. Well, we just ignored it and let our day be filled with new memories. Students of different schools, workers of many agencies and government officials of the City of Vigan joined the said event.

We again made a zenith for ourselves. With that, we have also gained another experience in the journey of our lives. All I can say is that I enjoyed this last Tuesday of the month of January.

aNotheR zeNith?

Third Grading Period is almost over. This proves that time flies so fast and it seems that we just started the school year few months ago. We are growing even better as students as we continue learning things and about our lives as well.

Well, I think I did my best during the third grading period. I just don't know for others. In this grading period, we just spent our time making our own web design. I learned many things about this with the help of my companion. She's good in design. Thank you for her help. We also made some drafts about certain topics and posted it on our blogs. These things have helped me a lot.

I hope that all these learnings will be kept in my mind as I enter snother period of my high school life. Moreover, I will always keep my faith to God for I know and I believe that He will be guiding me anywhere I go.

I wOuLd. . .

New Year?. Well, this would be again the start of hundred of days, new challenges that I will be facing, laughters that I will be sharing with others, new beginning and the new ME.

It is more than I could hope or dream of this 2011, the Year of the Metal Rabbit compared to 2010. I want God to put more favor on me. For I know, one day will be better than a thousand of days in the world in my life as I exists.

Through the help of God, I will be a better person this year. I would promise to. More efforts and time will go to my studies than going to somewhere that is not very important. I wish that I will be stronger now for I know God has another plan for me this year. I am excited for this to happen.

So, I should plan for my actions now and act for my plans. Moreover, I will be a better person with all these things. And I am hoping that after many years, I will be somebody in the future.

That's enough for me.!

It all started when a baby boy was born in a manger. That time, many people followed the light of a star. They came to seek the baby boy for they believe the good news that was spread by the angels of God.

As December approaches, people begin to count days before Christmas. This is the most awaited part of the year. On this day, we can see smiling faces and teary eyes as well. In every heart of many people especially Filipinos, Christmas is the only way where families can get together, peace and happiness reign and sometimes war stops for a mean time. The true essence of Christmas can be seen in many homes as you try to witness how they celebrate the birthday of the Messiah.

As for me, my Christmas will be complete when my family and friends are happy. That's enough for me!

NOT A REVERIE. . .

People of the society have many differences. But these differences are not hindrance to attain peace and unity and eventually towards progress. Moreover, this is everybody's goal.

As the saying goes, individually we are drops, together we are an ocean. Yes together we can make impossible things possible. Oneness makes the dream come true. Through unity, we can make a big change. Of course, change must begin within ourselves then we should influence others for this.

Let us put our hands together. We should not be selfish in everything we do. the life of others is very significant. nothing in this world is useless. So let us utilize and optimize our skills. Quantize every brilliant idea.

Inspire others to dream and work. Also, be an inspiration to others for having peace and unity is not a reverie.

STRESS OR HAPPINESS???

For most students, sembreak is vacation but for some of us, we consider it as another stressful and tiring week.

Guess what? I really didn't spend much my time in resting. Maybe others have sleepful nights and days . But me? Having those things is just a reverie. However, even though I am busy this break, i enjoyed it for the smiles and happiness of some children that we had helped during our outreach program and fellowship at Batac Wiped away my tiredness. I am very happy to see them smiling with the things we have shared. This is what i want- to help without no hesitation, for I know this is the will of God. this is also one of the opportunities that I can go to other places here in the Philippines for a trip.

Days had gone but the memories are still fresh in my mind. I will keep those things in my heart forever as one of my companions in my journey through life.

I didn't ever think that this sembreak would be one of the most memorable days in my life. I just don't know. Well, I thanked God for making this semestral break meaningful.
